It’s been a lot of bumps and babies around here lately, and truth be told, I LOVE it.  But, I have to say that I found Kim + Nick’s engagement session from 2 weeks ago quite refreshing!  Oh how I love me some backlighting and people who love LOVE.

We headed out to Silver Sands Beach in Milford and well, as you can see from the images, their chemistry and love for each other is ever so evident.  I am so excited for their August wedding at Water’s Edge in Westbrook!  And are you wondering how I’ve been able to blog so much in so little time?  No, there is no blogging fairy around here….unless you count the BlogStomp application as one.  I have to say, it’s made blogging and collage making a breeze!  You do sacrifice some web-sharpening, as I usually use a sharpening action in CS6, but it gets the job done – and fast – which allows me to share more sessions with you!  EnjoyConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographerConnecticut wedding photographer

Alas, I’m getting to catch up on blogging!  Up next is sweet Verity’s newborn session, which holds a special place in my heart.  I first met mama Megan in a new mom’s group when I had my oldest.  Avonlea and my daughter, Adalyn, are almost the same age, and Megan also welcomed another little girl into her family around the same time as me.  I didn’t think I’d be able to do Verity’s newborn session, but I just couldn’t resist.  Yup, I’ve got a soft spot for sisters.  I had this setup in my head for a while, but never got around to doing it with my 2 girls.  I’m so happy I was able to do it for them….and that Avonlea was so well-behaved for her little sister’s first photoshoot.  Also, how gorgeous is Megan?!

I’m so excited to finally have the chance to blog Carrie’s maternity session!  I get to see this most precious little family at church every Sunday, and I really enjoyed getting to spend this evening with them at a local park.  To make it even more exciting, Carrie decided to wait to find out what their third child would be.  I’m always so excited for my “team green” mommas because with both of my babies, I haven’t been patient enough to wait, and I really admire those who can.  And as you will see at the very bottom of this post, it was a BOY!!  I enjoyed every minute of Cullen’s in-home newborn session as well.  Love this family!Westport, CT maternity photographyWestport, CT newborn photographyWestport, CT newborn photographyFairfield County, CT maternity photographyWestport, CT maternity photographyNew Canaan, CT maternity photographyNew Canaan, CT maternity photographyFairfield County, CT newborn photographyWestport, CT newborn photographyWestport, CT newborn photographyWestport, CT newborn photography

Cake, anyone?  Ian wasn’t too into his, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time at his cake smash session in my Norwalk, CT studio.   It’s hard for me to believe that I took his newborn photos just one year ago, and while  I got to see him at his 6 month session too, this session topped it all!  There is just something so great about getting their reactions to the cake  on camera.   hehe
