Well, hi there! I’m Alex, owner and photographer of Alex Christine. Did you watch my video above? No stuffy portrait studio here (well, I do have a studio, check it out here) – just me! I love to tell stories with my camera, and I have quite the affinity toward art that reflects life.
Those cuties beside me are my precious daughters Adalyn, born in July 2011 and Eloise, born in April 2013. Us three girls live in Fairfield County, CT with my incredibly supportive, good-looking hubby, Andrew. He has his hands full. 😉 (We are expecting baby #3 in August 2015, my maternity leave will run from July 20th – Sept. 20th).
Who is Christine? That was my middle name before getting married, and I couldn’t let it go that easily.
My love for photography didn’t start with a camera – it started with photographs. I would spend hours and hours as a little girl just looking through old photo albums, completely immersed into the past. I loved getting a glimpse into my mom’s life as a child and teenager, enjoyed seeing pictures from when my parents started dating, and as I grew, became completely obsessed with photos of my own childhood. There are few things more precious to me than the pictures of my Poppi and I. Our special bond and friendship lives on through them.
I am in the business of keeping memories alive through artful photography. Perhaps not coincidently, I feel most alive behind the camera. I am a portrait photographer and member of the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA). My style is vibrant, contemporary and artistic. The images I like best are bright and full of authentic emotion . I strive to offer my clients a relaxed, fun and one-of-a-kind session experience, that will leave you with tangible, artful memories that you will cherish forever.
Oh, and one more thing you should know about me: I am the product of His Amazing Grace. <><
What’s in my camera bag? My main body is a Canon 5D Markiii, and I shoot with a variety of prime lenses including the 35mm 1.4L (my favorite!), 50mm 1.2L, 85mm 1.8, 100m 2.8L macro, 135 2.0L,and the 70-200mm 2.8L II.
