This post is coming smack in the middle of my busiest time of the year, in the middle of another 40+ hour work week of what was always supposed to be a part time business to support my passion. My clients, fans, friends, and family, have been nothing short of AMAZING in the support of this dream that I started 2 years ago this Fall. I LOVE my job and feel genuinely honored and blessed each time someone chooses ME to forever capture their precious memories. I’ve weathered the ups and downs of this business – the incredible highs when a client takes the time to let me know how they were in tears of joy looking at their gallery, and lows when someone sends an email about “expensive” pricing. I won’t get into that in this post, because my colleague Amber at Little Moon Photography explained it so well here, but let’s just say that Ive done my best to keep my services affordable, while maintaining integrity within the industry. I’m writing all of this to just say that I’m here, I’m not going anywhere and still want to be YOUR family photographer, but that I’m setting some limits on myself, limits on Alex Christine Photography. My 2 sweet precious girls, just 26 and 6 months as I type this, need me now more than they ever will in their precious little lives. I’ve been averaging about 4 sessions per week and that’s been a bit too much for me to keep my family life in balance. For this reason, I’ve decided to take very few and select newborn and Milestone Memories photography sessions throughout the winter, and I am declaring myself fully booked until February 2014. Starting in March, I will be taking a maximum of 6 sessions a month and trying to maintain Sundays off. And since I really dislike turning clients away (expecting mamas, I’m talking to you), please contact as soon as possible about scheduling your newborn session for the spring.
Well, that’s that. Thursdays have been my day off with my girls, and about to go snuggle with these cuties. 🙂 THANK YOU, from the very bottom of my heart for your understanding, your support of my art and my business, and of course, for choosing Alex Christine Photography.
